My name is Mary Wall Johnston and I am a local NC artist who originates from the BIG APPLE! I illustrate, but have found myself rescuing "homeless" furniture and decor and giving it a new life through repairs and mixed media paint in order to find new homes for these items. It is recycling at its best...it is bringing art to the community by demystifying Fine Arts and getting it into the hands of everyday people at affordable prices... In each piece, I hide a TINY dragonfly to be found. This is another way to get the buyer to handle and interact with their new piece and not simply place it on a mantle to collect dust!
